This page is maintained by the Viajero Miami Activities team to answer common security and privacy questions about the app. It describes the controls currently in place and is editable content — not an independent certification or audit.
Viajero Miami Activities lets hostel guests browse upcoming activities and sign up for them, and lets staff and hosts manage attendance, check-ins, and post-activity reports.
We do not collect government IDs, payment card numbers, or precise location through this app.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
The app runs on managed cloud infrastructure. Data is stored in a managed Postgres database accessed over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Database-level access rules restrict which data can be read or written from the public app versus from trusted server code.
Platform features are provided by our hosting and backend providers. We describe them factually; their availability does not constitute an independent certification of this app.
Sign-up, attendance, and rating records are kept so the hostel team can run and improve activities. If you want your information removed, contact the hostel front desk or use the contact below and we will delete your records on request, except where we need to keep limited information for legitimate operational or legal reasons.
The app uses only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in to staff/host areas and to remember your session while you use the app. No third-party advertising or cross-site tracking is used.
If you believe you have found a security or privacy issue, please contact the Viajero Miami front desk and ask them to forward the report to the activities team. We appreciate responsible disclosure and will respond as quickly as we can.
Security is a shared responsibility. The hosting and backend platforms provide infrastructure controls (encrypted transport, managed database, access rules). The Viajero Miami Activities team configures the app, manages staff/host accounts, and decides what data is collected. Guests help by sharing only the information needed to join activities.
This page is app-owned editable content and may be updated as the app evolves. It is not an independent audit or certification.
